As I have not been informed of the nature of the Charges which were brought against De Ricci, it is impossible to express an opinion as to the propriety of allowing him to remain in Office, or as to whether the Charges were of such a serious nature as to affect his character. It appears doubtful whether his resignation should have been accepted. I have to request that you furnish me with further information on the subject.
